Thorsten Melsheimer is a convinced steep-slope winemaker. His vineyards comprise 11 hectares of vineyards. Three quarters of the vineyards are located in the Reiler Mullay Hofberg, certainly one of the most impressive steep slopes of the lower Middle Mosel with a highly individual microclimate.

Thorsten Melsheimer is one of the few winegrowers who have decided to cultivate their vineyards biodynamically out of absolute conviction. It is currently the only winery on the Mosel that is Demeter certified. Thorsten Melsheimer plays the entire keyboard for his Riesling wines. Virtous he changes from the dry style to the classic fruity predicates, whereby he succeeds excellently in the balancing act between tradition and modernity.
