Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2019
The Bockstein Kabinett appears cool and floral on the nose with light minerality and yellow fruity aromas of mirabelle, pear and frisky. The palate explodes with an acidity that dominates almost everything on the palate, including the taste of red berry fruit, gooseberry and boiled down citrus peel. The minerality seems to be chiseled from pure slate. The finish is long and the fruity aromas find their delicately salted continuation. A thousand volts of Kabinett and nothing for weak minds. Must mature!

Saar Region
The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.
