Kanzemer Altenberg Riesling Spätlese 2019
The Spätlese from the Kanzemer Altenberg is reductive in the nose with a yeasty aroma and cool minerality. In the yellow-fruity Näs'chen there are still some hidden herbal nuances and wet flint and smoke. On the palate cool and clear with polished juicy fruit of dark berries and herbal nuances. The soft sweetness is woven into a highly fine and animating acidity structure. The texture is slightly creamy, in a certain way even a bit baroque. In the long, spicy-mineral finish there is a lot of juice and play and a hint of exotic fruit.

Saar Region
The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.
