The Scharzhofberger Auslese offers a highly elegant, slate dominated bouquet with finest berry notes and a very intense blood orange aroma. On the palate delicately sweet fruit of candied citrus fruits, with a perfectly integrated and still very youthful sweet-acid game. The softly leafy, salty minerality appears subtle and perfectly balanced. Very good and everlasting finish with a herbal-sweet aftertaste. Offers dimension and depth while remaining light and transparent. Great selection, needs time!

The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.More wines from the region
