There are malicious tongues who claim that the Oberemmeler Hütte is the better Scharzhofberg. The fact is that some of the most sensitive, subtle yet steely Rieslings come from precisely this great vineyard location. And so the 2019 Kabinett from the Hütte also presents itself with great lightness and timeless elegance. The nose is mineral and tart, with subtle passion fruit, floral notes and some herbs. On the palate slim and piquant with delicately tart fruit and a very distinct cool-mineral play. The acidity is ripe and juicy, animating and clarifying. Everything is light and finely woven. In the playful finish finest slate notes and a hint of salt. Timeless Kabinett style!

The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.More wines from the region
