Intense, paired with fragile delicacy and extreme finesse! The Kabinett from the Goldgrube has probably never been so delicate and at the same time so intense in its style as in the 2021 wine year. On the nose, typical Vollenweider, slightly reductive with intense mineral notes and the freshness of pink grapefruit. On the palate, an excellent interplay of sweet and sour, reminiscent of the aromatic berries of hawthorn. But also salty lemon and a little South Sea fruit lie juicily on the tongue. The lively, salivating acidity is essential and whips the fruity sweetness across the tongue at a decent pace, nothing clings, everything is in flow, nothing sticks or satiates. Shows the puerile playfulness of great Kabinett wines and is certainly one of the "Kabinett" highlights of the 2021 vintage.
In 1999 the Swiss Daniel Vollenweider dedicated himself to a dream: to run his own vineyard and to produce crystal clear, straightforward and yet deeply sensual Mosel-Riesling.All wines from Weingut Vollenweider
