The Kabinett comes from the Jon parcel in the west-facing part of the Wolfer Goldgrube. The grape material still comes from ancient vines, some of which were planted at the beginning of the last century. Typical of Vollenweider, the nose is initially very closed, but gains in air and then shows lots of smoky slate, lime, white flowers and some tropical fruit. The palate is touched by a racy and grasping acidity with bitter and bitter nuances of citrus peel, aronia berries and rock pear. The tart structure dominates the fruity play and lets the fine sweet Riesling bouquet float over the tongue. An extremely refreshing Kabinett with a lot of trait and race. 100% Goldgrube - 100% Vollenweider! An original...and absolute vintage top!
In 1999 the Swiss Daniel Vollenweider dedicated himself to a dream: to run his own vineyard and to produce crystal clear, straightforward and yet deeply sensual Mosel-Riesling.All wines from Weingut Vollenweider
