The Felsenfest is already a house number in itself, and that also in the 2020 vintage. Ninety percent of the grapes come from the Trabacher Schloßberg, a vineyard site that is classified in its tradition as a Grand Cru site. In the bouquet, which is still strongly influenced by the spontaneous fermentation, only rock flour and slate spice can be perceived at the moment. Superficial fruit is completely dispensed with here. The palate is flawless and straightforward with perfect mineral definition. The racy, almost wild acidity gives Felsenfest a steely and firmly determined character. A concise and style-defining Riesling in typical Vollenweider manner.
In 1999 the Swiss Daniel Vollenweider dedicated himself to a dream: to run his own vineyard and to produce crystal clear, straightforward and yet deeply sensual Mosel-Riesling.All wines from Weingut Vollenweider
