The Riesling "Felsenfest" already shows the clear and unmistakable signature of Daniel Vollenweider. Most of the grapes come from the Trarbacher Schlossberg, a vineyard site that is already listed as a Grand Cru vineyard in the oldest vineyard tax maps. The nose presents itself very clearly with aromas of citrus fruit, green apple, ripe peach, white pepper and freshly cut herbs. The palate is hit by a racy, very lively acidity with a nicely integrated minerality. With a little air, the wine shows all its charisma and turns away into salty minerality in the final finish.
In 1999 the Swiss Daniel Vollenweider dedicated himself to a dream: to run his own vineyard and to produce crystal clear, straightforward and yet deeply sensual Mosel-Riesling.All wines from Weingut Vollenweider
