Kaseler Kehrnagel

The vines here grow on deep, weathered, copper-coloured slate. Due to a good water supply and high water capacity of the soil, especially fresh and juicy Rieslings are produced here even in very dry years. Thanks to the high proportion of slate, the wines are very mineral and powerful. The exposure is south to southwest with a slope gradient of about 40%. The mountain covers almost 11 hectares of vineyard area.
