The Kabinett from the Niedermenniger Sonnenberg has a fascinating precision in the fragrance. Very clear the exotic fruit of mango and tangerine, plus the tart freshness of citrus and the stony, chalky minerality of the gray slate. Wiry, taut and sinewy on the palate despite fruity sweetness. The acidity shows racy polish and serves as a counterpoint to the mineral extract. The sweetness is superbly integrated and forcefully displays the virtuoso lightness of a Saar Kabinett. A thirst quencher at the very highest level.
Weingut Stefan Müller
In 2016, Stefan Müller won the “Young Winegrower of the Year” award on the Saar. No wonder with these grandiose Riesling wines, which are typical Saar. They have a crisp and fresh character with plenty of substance. All wines from Weingut Stefan Müller
The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.More wines from the region
