The Petillant Naturel Riesling "Rurale" shows a rather cool, but very complex nose with fragrant floral notes of summer meadow, roses, woodruff and herbs. In addition to the floral aromas there is a fine exotic fruit and a hint of sweet winter apple. On the palate animatingly tart, well structured with fine fruit of rhubarb, cider pear and quince. A pinch of iodine and some sea salt in the dense aftertaste. This is the great longing for wild tingling - brilliant! "Pure, deep, resonant and alive," the New York Times wrote.
