Insanus Riesling PinotNoir Pétillant Naturel 2019

Pét Nat dry Mosel

The Petillant Naturel "Insanus" (Latin.: Crazy) offers an intense deep and fresh nose of freshly cut coniferous wood, flowers and yeasty notes. In the background red-fruity astringency with delicate salty and vanilla notes. On the palate juicy and tart with fruity aromas of yellow stone fruit and tart red berries. Full-bodied with a stimulating perlage and clear yeast notes and black bread crumb. In the dense aftertaste a lot of herbal spice. Old-Style Champagne Pet Nat!

The Producer

Weingut Melsheimer

Thorsten Melsheimer is a convinced steep-slope winemaker. His vineyards comprise 11 hectares of vineyards. Three quarters of the vineyards are located in the Reiler Mullay Hofberg, certainly one of the most impressive steep slopes of the lower Middle Mosel with a highly individual microclimate.
