The Spätlese from the Wehlener Sonnenuhr comes from 120-year-old root-identical vines, which were planted in the classic Mosel single-pile training in the best sector of the original Wehlener Sonnenuhr. The Spätlese smells of fully ripe apricots, peach nectar and mango, but also has floral notes and shows a delicate bouquet of wild meadow herbs. Opulent on the palate with lots of juice and play, yellow-fruity with fine notes of pineapple and grapefruit. The acidity appears racy and fresh and despite the fruity sweetness it provides an animating drinking flow. The finish is clear and long, with a very fine mineral aftertaste. A true character wine from the Mosel which cannot deny its origin! Wehlener Sonnenuhr - PUR!
