Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben 2020
Fuder Gisela, A.P. - No. 8 - .... steely, biting and straight as a pinch... that's all you really need to say about this Riesling Kabinett! Or? Well... for the sake of completeness... The grapes for the Kabinett Alte Reben come from a rootless plot in the middle part of the Krettnacher Euchariusberg. The vines are very weak in growth due to their old age and produce only the smallest yields. The Kabinett Alte Reben shows extremely cool and stony on the nose. The palate is crystal clear and crystalline. The radiant acidity is of the utmost urgency, but without any aggression. The sweet fruit is seamlessly integrated. The wine shows great harmony, appears tense and dense and unfolds a brilliant freshness. The undisputed prototype of a lively, fiery and elegant Kabinett style.

Saar Region
The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.
