The Monster parcel is the absolute centrepiece of the Thörnicher Ritsch. It is the highest quality parcel in the entire mountain. The Ritsch Kabinett "Monster" shows only pure slate on the nose. No frills, no overloaded fruit, no superfluous flourishes or embellishments. Biting, stony, steely and crystalline on the palate! The almost graceful fruity sweetness is spot on and only takes its rightful place. A bit crazy for the Middle Moselle. Nothing baroque or fat, everything is very reduced and concentrated, more in the Bauhaus style. Shows enormous resilience, is aimed like an arrow and extremely impressive in its uncompromisingness! What a Kabinett!
