Domherr Riesling *** trocken 2020
The Piesporter Domherr vineyard is an independent site in the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. It is characteristic that the Riesling wines from the Domherr are generally tighter and not as expansively yellow-fruited as their counterparts from the Goldtröpfchen. And so the nose of Domherr Riesling is beautifully herbaceous with slightly yeasty notes from the spontaneous fermentation and the fruity aromas of apricot and quince jelly. Firm and gripping on the palate with the finest acidity and an expressive melting slate minerality. Shows a lot of fresh bite and powerful, demanding herbal spice in the finish. A terroir-typical Riesling with a lot of inner power and tension. Greatly made!
