The Spätlese from the Krettnacher Ober Schäfershaus seduces the nose with rich ripe aromas of peach, tangerine and yellow plums. On the palate, there is plenty of juice with great play and a fine salty minerality underpinned by the spiciness of the diabase. Baroque in the best sense with a lot of concentration and finest melting. One of the most impressive Spätlese wines from the 2018 vintage with enormous potential for maturity.
