Kabinett fruity sweet Saar
Fuder Gisela, A.P. - No. 8 - .... steely, biting and straight as a pinch... that's all you really need to say about this Riesling Kabinett! Or? Well... for the sake of completeness... The grapes for the Kabinett Alte Reben come from a rootless plot in the middle part of the Krettnacher Euchariusberg. The vines are very weak in growth due to their old age and produce only the smallest yields. The Kabinett Alte Reben shows extremely cool and stony on the nose. The palate is crystal clear and crystalline.  The radiant acidity is of the utmost urgency, but without any aggression. The sweet fruit is seamlessly integrated. The wine shows great harmony, appears tense and dense and unfolds a brilliant freshness. The undisputed prototype of a lively, fiery and elegant Kabinett style.

Kabinett fruity sweet Saar
The Saarburger Laurentiusberg is the oldest vineyard on the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer. The vineyard was planted around 1870 in the middle of a rocky massif directly on the banks of the Saar and planted with Riesling vines. The Saarburger Laurentius Kabinett is still somewhat closed on the nose and is characterized by yeast and the aromas of spontaneous fermentation. With a little air, delicate herbal hints and scents of pear, white peach, apple and cassis emerge. The palate is hit by an overwhelming acidity in play with fruity tart nuances of grapefruit, candied lemon and minerality reminiscent of lime. The wine appears extremely racy, complex and deep. The vibrant aromatics of fruit and white flowers carry through to the endless finish. A steely, pithy Kabinett of a very great kind.

Kabinett fruty sweet Mosel
The Erdener Treppchen is one of the most legendary vineyard sites on the Mosel and was already an active vineyard in Roman times. The iron-rich, red slate soil gives the Rieslings grown here their very own intense minerality and race. The Kabinett Fass - 6 - still comes from rootless vines and was fermented spontaneously in the classic Mosel Fuder. On the nose, the Treppchen Kabinett presents itself with fine nuances of flowers, yellow fruits and a smoky minerality. The palate is hit by an intense freshness with delicate tart minerality and beguiling aromas of apricot, vineyard peach and black berries. The brilliant acid structure lends its carefree lightness to the delicate sweetness. Clearly shows origin and terroir!

Kabinett fruity sweet Ruwer
In past times, the Herrenberg was always in the shadow of the Abtsberg. Due to the changing climatic conditions, however, the Riesling wines of the two sites are in no way inferior to each other in quality today. The wines of the Herrenberger also possess an extraordinary capacity for development and can mature over decades. And never before has the Herrenberg presented itself as sublime as in the 2020 vintage. The fruity Kabinett from the Grünhäuser Herrenberg already shows a strong mineral character in the aroma. Heated flint and yeasty notes from spontaneous fermentation put the fruit in the background. Only with sufficient aeration does the ripe fruit of citrus and the typical Grünhäuser herbal aromas come to the fore. Juicy fresh on the palate with citrusy flavors of sweet and sour lemon, red juice oranges, ripe pomelo and sugared pink grapefruit. Beneath all the fruit, wet flint and red slate soil minerality lurks in the base. The vital acidity is in absolute balance with the fruity sweetness, giving it an unexpected weightlessness. A Kabinett of piquant character, blood young and beautiful... may like to mature!

Kabinett fruity sweet Mosel
The special feature of the Thörnicher Ritsch is that the meagre soil means that it is not the fruit but rather the minerality of the blue slate that gains the upper hand in the expression of the Riesling. The Ritsch Kabinett AP 5/21 shows only restrained fruity hints in the aroma. Only a light aroma reminiscent of quince and very delicate yellow-fruity nuances, and that's it for the fruit in the fragrance. The ethereal notes of fresh green pine needles and the balsamic spiciness of the slate are much more noticeable. It seems more like a mineral flicker that rises from the glass into the nose. Light-footed on the palate, yet firm in its structure. The fine, restrained sweetness and the precise acidity provide a dancing elegance. Impeccably made in all components with plenty of mineral substance and depth. Simply delicate...

Kabinett fruity sweet Mosel
A “typical” Moselle cabinet, one can say, this wine from the VDP.Grosse Lage Dhroner Hofberg. Playful, fruity and juicy. A bit of herbal smoke paired with aromas of tropical fruits and a wonderfully ripe vineyard peach make your mouth water. The terrace calls out loud for a good time. Best served with a fresh salad. The vines are around 40 years old. The expansion took place in stainless steel tanks with spontaneous fermentation.
