Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett 2020

Fritz Haag

Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett 2020

Kabinett fruity sweet Mosel

The Brauneberger Juffer vineyard is virtually predestined for the production of high-quality Kabinett wines that are supported by great lightness and rounded off by a charming residual sweetness. This terroir-accentuated Riesling Kabinett is filigree, juicy and racy with a fine mineral spiciness. The smoky nose shows flinty aromas as well as beautiful floral notes and delicate tropical fruit. Perfectly balanced on the palate with flattering sweet fruit and a fresh animating acidity. The grippy slate tone supports the long, spicy finish. A Kabinett of great clarity and straightforwardness - A Mosel classic par excellence!

The Producer

Weingut Fritz Haag

The long-established and widely known Fritz Haag winery is located in the heart of the middle Mosel valley. The winery was first mentioned in documents as early as 1605. At that time, the place was still called Dusemond, which means “sweet hill” or “sweet mountain”. In 1925, Dusemond was renamed Brauneberg. This is a tribute to the color of the iron layers in the slate soils in this section of the Mosel river and was primarily intended to further establish the reputation of its famous vineyards “Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr” and “Brauneberger Juffer”.
