Saarburger Laurentius Riesling Kabinett Magnum 2020
The Saarburger Laurentiusberg is the oldest vineyard on the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer. The vineyard was planted around 1870 in the middle of a rocky massif directly on the banks of the Saar and planted with Riesling vines. The Saarburger Laurentius Kabinett is still somewhat closed on the nose and is characterized by yeast and the aromas of spontaneous fermentation. With a little air, delicate herbal hints and scents of pear, white peach, apple and cassis emerge. The palate is hit by an overwhelming acidity in play with fruity tart nuances of grapefruit, candied lemon and minerality reminiscent of lime. The wine appears extremely racy, complex and deep. The vibrant aromatics of fruit and white flowers carry through to the endless finish. A steely, pithy Kabinett of a very great kind.

Weingut Dr. Wagner
Weingut Dr. Wagner is located in Saarburg. The wine estate was founded by Josef Heinrich Wagner in 1880. He also specialized in the production of sparkling wine. Since 2009, the family property is run by Christiane Wagner, who is the fifth generation.
