The Wagner family brought sparkling wine to the Saar and demonstrably so. Adolf Wagner, son of the winery founder, experimented with Saar Riesling after returning from his champagne studies. A tradition which began around 1908 and is still continued by the winery Dr. Wagner. The sparkling wine is typical of the Saar, with very fine carbonic acid and extremely delicate in the mouth.

Weingut Dr. Wagner is located in Saarburg. The wine estate was founded by Josef Heinrich Wagner in 1880. He also specialized in the production of sparkling wine. Since 2009, the family property is run by Christiane Wagner, who is the fifth generation.All wines from Weingut Dr. Wagner
