Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2020
The Riesling wines from the Ockfener Bockstein were already among the best on the Saar in the times of the Elector. According to Saar typical, the wines grown here present themselves with the unmistakable fruit of Riesling and are incorruptible in their slate-spicy, characterful and subtle nature. The fruity Kabinett from the Bockstein shows a fragrant floral nose with yellow fruit and dark berries. On the palate, intense minerality with zesty animating fruit of citrus and pome fruit. Everything seems very fresh and crisp with decent verve. The acid play is perfectly balanced and dances on the firm mineral foundation. Very long finish with nice animating fruity reverberation! Extremely Delicious!!!

Saar Region
The Saar is the largest tributary of the Mosel. The winegrowing area extends from Serrig to the mouth of the Saar River at Konz, as the crow flies about twelve kilometers upstream. The acreage of the Saar region is rather small with about 750 hectares. Nevertheless, there are numerous excellent vineyards, some on steep slopes.
