Within the colossal red rock formations of the Ürziger Würzgarten lies the small parcel of only 2.2 ha called "in der Kranklei". The absolute top sector in the Würzgarten and known for its tangy, fiery and spicy Riesling. Christian Hermann's vines stand here in classic single-pole training and were planted well over 100 years ago in the blood-red slate of the Würzgarten. Lots of cassis, wild wild strawberries, raspberries and finally the tart animation of grapefruit. Once the fruit has been digested, a beautiful herbal potpourri settles on the tongue. Everything seems very intense, but remains light as a feather and filigree. An elegant, lively Spätlese...DRINK ME!
