The Erdener Treppchen is one of the oldest and most magnificent vineyard sites on the Mosel and was already an actively cultivated vineyard in Roman times. The iron-rich red clay weathered slate gives the Riesling grown here its very own intense minerality and race. The Kabinett Fass - 6 - comes from vines that are still rooted and was fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts in the traditional Mosel Fuder. On the nose, the Treppchen Kabinett presents itself with fine nuances of fresh meadow herbs, lively underlined with the cheerful freshness of grated mint leaves. This is joined by yellow fruits and a delicately smoky note reminiscent of wet, hot slate. The palate is hit by an explosive, intense and cool freshness with a clear, delicately tart minerality. The brilliant acid structure of the rather cooler 2021 vintage lends the delicate fruity sweetness an almost carefree lightness. With its firm mineral acid structure and its very own elegant radiance, the Treppchen Kabinett Fass 6 clearly shows its origin and terroir. Crystal clear style - a perfectly refreshing summer wine!
