The Erdener Treppchen is one of the most legendary vineyard sites on the Mosel and was already an active vineyard in Roman times. The iron-rich, red slate soil gives the Rieslings grown here their very own intense minerality and race. The Kabinett Fass - 6 - still comes from rootless vines and was fermented spontaneously in the classic Mosel Fuder. On the nose, the Treppchen Kabinett presents itself with fine nuances of flowers, yellow fruits and a smoky minerality. The palate is hit by an intense freshness with delicate tart minerality and beguiling aromas of apricot, vineyard peach and black berries. The brilliant acid structure lends its carefree lightness to the delicate sweetness. Clearly shows origin and terroir!
