"Throner is one of the best plants on the Mosel" wrote Karl Heinrich Koch as early as 1897, and the late harvest from the Dhroner Hofberger from the A.J. Adam winery clearly shows the value of this site. The wine presents itself with a yeasty fresh nose with aromas of ripe fruit, peach, pineapple, pear and herbal nuances. On the palate a youthful sweetness of exotic fruit and a delicate spice of willow herbs. The filigree minerality is supported by a very lively, almost demanding acidity. Animating reverberation with very good and gripping length. Not a powerhouse, but a Riesling with great elegance and finest fruit. Karl Heinrich Koch would certainly have enjoyed it!
